I had Allegro 4.9.12 installed and didn't update until recently to the
latest version.
I discovered that fonts aren't rendered right anymore, the ttf font
renders mostly just blocks and the bitmap font renders strange
graphics.

I tested the versions between 4.9.12 and 4.9.21 and found where they went bad.
ttf broke in 4.9.14
bitmap font broke in 4.9.20

The computer is a Toshiba Satellite 1400-103 running OpenSUSE.
