Things like _al_add_exit_func, _al_remove_exit_func and other functions
could be documented as low level routines, but not officially supported
routines... Or just make them public functions. Why have Allegro users
re-invent the wheel when a perfect solution already exists? If a function
is removed from newer versions of Allegro then boo hoo, it wasn't officially
supported any how. I don't know what this would do for ABI compatability,
but there certainly can be a compromise...
I've used _al_add_exit_func and _al_remove_exit_func in many programs
successfully allong with others and I think some of these can be very
useful, especially to those writing add-on librarys...

No idea what that means.. but can and should have two different meanings.
"doesnt mean they can" implies they "can't", which they can unless we try very
hard to lock internals away.
