I checked out the latest SVN on OS X 10.4 PPC:

* misc/gcc-uni.sh doesn't have execute permissions.

* misc/gcc-uni.sh fails for make depend. I modified the script
(attached) to just default to a single gcc call if nothing is being
built. (This obviously isn't necessarily the proper behavior for
complex build environments, but it's good enough for Allegro.)
