I don't like this bit, however. Allegro should content itself
with defining a platform independent of getting canonical paths
to meaningful types of data, and a game/program can then do
what it wants with it. Allegro really ought not do anything
with a program's identifier. Mind you, a single program may
have more than one (eg, one linking against a lib and both
needing access to their data).
