I'm using gcc 3.4.2. As you can see:

this options is for C only (obviously as you cannot have K&R style functions in C++) so it produces warning when compiling Allegro C++ test (cpptest.cpp) that this options is useless. I would be really surprised if it doesn't show under other gcc versions/platforms.
