oh, maybe its just in the CVS, when i get a CVS dump, in the root
allegro folder there is a folder named 'mactests'

Yes, one of the many shortcomings of CVS, you cannot delete or even move
directories. But empty directories will not be checked out, so not a big
problem.
Hopefully SF will allow SVN soon, then we can move the code over :)
