I'm not sure I understand what it does. Does it mean, something like:

http://alleg.sourceforge.net/onlinedocs/en/alleg002.html

would get:

http://alleg.sourceforge.net/onlinedocs/en/alleg_unicode.html

? That definitely would be an improvement..
