Well, if the decision is between positional mapping without dead keys,
and no positional mapping, but dead keys, I'd say yes. The idea of
having two keyboard drivers, a DirectInput and a winapi one, probably
also isn't that good.
Hm, but for non-positional mapping - I'm not at all delighted at the
idea of doing a similiar mapping from characters back to Allegro codes
than the one I did for X11 :P
