Well, even then, it probably would use the XML, so that was needed
anyway.

Yes, me too. The only advantage of online editing I can think of would
be an easier interface where to edit them, but it still would be harder
to edit than directly editing the _tx documents in CVS.

That is, another advantage would be to allow anyone to add comments. But
that could be done in a different form, where comments could be below
every function of the official docs, like e.g. the PHP docs. But unlike
the PHP docs, I'd like this to be done in a more wiki-like fashion, so
the 3 year old useless clutter someone posted could be edited away.
