Summary: Mingw makefile bug
Initial Comment:
when you try to make install with mingw if your mingdir
has a trailing \ on the end it fails saying that the
lib sub directory already exists because it doesnt see
it and then tries to create it. It would help to avoid
confusion if this was fixed.
