Thanks... I added a small check to ensure that all keys were released before exiting, and it seems to behave a bit better now.

I guess you're exiting before waiting for the Ctrl key to be released?
I don't know if there's anything to be done about that. Try putting in
a loop to wait for the key to be released before exiting.
