If you are a SourceForge developer on the alleg project then you
can make your server use scp to copy the files to the
SourceForge web space, rather than hosting them yourself, if
bandwidth is a problem. (Of course this still requires the
alleg group to have write access to the directory!) scp will
require a password unless you create an RSA key using ssh-keygen
with a blank password and register the public part of the key
with the SourceForge servers.
