Yes, but for all we know the error could just as well be in
your code, which at least makes me less interested in
investigating it. That is one of the reasons why it would
be useful to see the code of your program. Another reason
is that you normally need to be able to reproduce the bug
in order to fix it. So, please, could you provide the
program that causes this crash. (And try to cut it down as
much as possible -- ideally < 20 lines. This also helps you
ensuring that the bug is not in your program.) I don't mean
to sound rude, I only mean to say that we need some more
information.
as for freezing/crashing etc...... i am using win2k.... it does not
freeze, it does not crash the OS.
it "nicely" quits and the debugger runs.
Good, so it's just a regular program crash. What message
does MSVC give you? It probably says something like
"Segmentation fault" or "Floating point exception"?
