That is true, but if a Windows user has problems with his common dialog,
then he's in bad shape everywhere. Allegro already makes good use of other
external resources (direct-x), so if you use that same philosophy for
everything, Allegro would be nothing but 100% self contained code.
But your point is something to consider.
