Especially as I still haven't got around to grokking the new
aliasing rules. Casting (though it's fine with char derived
types, AFAIK) will possibly generate bad code. Have anyone
thought of this already ? I must say I'm quite uncomfortable
with this issue.
There are indeed quite a lot of casts in Allegro.
