On the topic of Allegro's GUI routines, I'd like to say something (at last):
I use the GUI extensively and I find it both easy to use and easy to modify.
About everyone seems to disagree with me here, but I'd like to see a little
cleanup and more flexibility for Allegro's GUI.
I agree that extra widgets should probably be put in add-ons, if not most
of the GUI itself, but IMHO adding an alertx() would be a good thing.
