Well, if i correctly understood what u want, this should be fine.

U can call it with parameter:
- ALID
- "name"
- GFX_MODE

or without a parameter, in that case u'll get the list of the modes
supported, and u can choose one.

i have still a main doubt, explained at lines 24-27 in the source.
