i have this problem too, and it looks like is very random...
calling allegro_exit before exiting lowers (for me) the chances of obtaining
that.
what X version do you have?
i have 4.1.0, and with 4.0.3 this problem didn't appear (so i don't know if
it is is caused by the new allegro or by the new X... d'oh! )
(anyway with 4.0.3 DGA2 didn't work, so i prefer this way :P )
