Don't think Windows only - they are needed under BeOS =)

The BeOS windowed driver has already been patched, and it's on CVS. Also
_Bob's work is on CVS now (src/misc/colconv.c and src/misc/icolconv.s), so if
you want to make modifications to it, do it directly on CVS.
