No problem; I have written the patch, but it is not on this network, so
I can't post it just yet. Expect it Friday or Saturday. After writing a
test case, I found that using primitives makes no discernible difference
to the execution speed, so I have changed the Allegro fonts to use that
method instead, since it is simpler.
