Which version of Allegro do you use ?
3.9.33 WIP: show_video_bitmap() doesn't wait for vsync on
most graphic cards
3.9.34 WIP: show_video_bitmap() does wait for vsync in
most cases
3.9.35 CVS: show_video_bitmap() does wait for vsync in
every case.
But, as Vincent said, the graphic driver can probably
disable the vsync mechanism.
