Since I usually compile before checking, I run in emacs

C-x C-d ~/GIT/Traduc/Documentation/
M-x compile
command: make ISOLANG=fr NO_COLOR=1 check-translation > ../../chktrans

and then open ~/GIT/chktrans as a base.
