Hello,
I have just upgraded to chrony version 4.6.1 on Debian 13
I have noticed my PTP time has not failed, and it appears to be when I put :
refclock PHC /dev/ptp0 poll 0 dpoll 0 tai
If I remove tai - I get 37 second offset and Chrony does not sync to PTP.
This is my current config
# Include additional configuration
confdir /etc/chrony/conf.d
sourcedir /etc/chrony/sources.d
sourcedir /run/chrony-dhcp
# PTP Hardware Clock as main reference
refclock PHC /dev/ptp0 poll 0 dpoll 0 tai
# Public NTP pool + HE.net as fallback
pool pool.ntp.org iburst
server clock.sjc.he.net iburst
# Allow local LAN access (optional)
allow
# Drift file
driftfile /var/lib/chrony/chrony.drift
# Real-time clock sync
rtcsync
# Step on large offsets only at boot
makestep 1 3
# TAI/UTC leap second information
leapsectz right/UTC
# Hardware timestamping
hwtimestamp *
logdir /var/log/chrony
maxupdateskew 100.0

I know my PTP can only output TAI - and this seems to be a new issue I think, as all documentation I can see suggests I am doing things correctly ….
Can any one please suggest what I might try to resolve this?
Thanks in advance,
