Yeah, KISS is based on SLIP… uses many of the same concepts, but AX.25
is the protocol used not TCP/IP.
I have a side-project which will probably encapsulate IPv6 over AX.25 in
a similar manner to 6LoWPAN -- at which point I'll probably ditch the
NTP proxy as the packet radio network will then be natively IPv6 and
that should speed things up just a little bit.
That's a long way off though, and not ready for prime time. I'm trying
to get this system going by July for a horse endurance ride as it'll be
critical to scoring. :-)
