[chrony-dev] 008-ntpera test failure |

Hi Miroslav, This test fails reproducibly with chrony 4.2 and clknetsim HEAD in a Debian LXC testbed. The error seems to happen in the second inner for loop. For the test to pass, we expect that the "check_sync" function returns 1. It does not here since the check_stat function returns 0 (i.e. "test_ok"). Here is the test output: 008-ntpera Testing NTP eras: network with 1*1 servers and 1 clients: non-default settings: starting node 1: OK starting node 2: OK running simulation: OK checking chronyd exit: node 1: OK node 2: OK checking source selection: node 2: OK checking mean/min incoming/outgoing packet interval: node 1: 2.73e+02 2.73e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK node 2: 2.73e+02 2.73e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK checking clock sync time, max/rms time/freq error: node 2: 132 1.29e-04 1.35e-05 8.86e-05 2.50e-07 OK network with 1*1 servers and 1 clients: non-default settings: time_offset=-1e-1 starting node 1: OK starting node 2: OK running simulation: OK checking chronyd exit: node 1: OK node 2: OK checking source selection: node 2: OK checking mean/min incoming/outgoing packet interval: node 1: 2.66e+02 2.66e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK node 2: 2.66e+02 2.66e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK checking clock sync time, max/rms time/freq error: node 2: 132 1.68e-04 1.33e-05 1.04e-04 2.15e-07 OK network with 1*1 servers and 1 clients: non-default settings: time_offset=-1e-1 starting node 1: OK starting node 2: OK running simulation: OK checking chronyd exit: node 1: OK node 2: OK checking source selection: node 2: OK checking mean/min incoming/outgoing packet interval: node 1: 2.66e+02 2.66e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK node 2: 2.66e+02 2.66e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK checking clock sync time, max/rms time/freq error: node 2: 132 1.68e-04 1.33e-05 1.04e-04 2.16e-07 OK network with 1*1 servers and 1 clients: non-default settings: time_offset=-1e-1 starting node 1: OK starting node 2: OK running simulation: OK checking chronyd exit: node 1: OK node 2: OK checking source selection: node 2: OK checking mean/min incoming/outgoing packet interval: node 1: 2.53e+02 2.53e+02 5.93e+01 5.93e+01 OK node 2: 2.53e+02 2.53e+02 5.93e+01 5.93e+01 OK checking clock sync time, max/rms time/freq error: node 2: 10001 7.47e+02 8.33e-02 4.13e+02 7.97e-02 BAD network with 1*1 servers and 1 clients: non-default settings: time_offset=-1e-1 starting node 1: OK starting node 2: OK running simulation: OK checking chronyd exit: node 1: OK node 2: OK checking source selection: node 2: OK checking mean/min incoming/outgoing packet interval: node 1: 2.66e+02 2.66e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK node 2: 2.66e+02 2.66e+02 6.40e+01 6.40e+01 OK checking clock sync time, max/rms time/freq error: node 2: 132 1.68e-04 1.33e-05 1.04e-04 2.16e-07 OK FAIL SUMMARY: TOTAL 1 PASSED 0 FAILED 1 (008-ntpera) (24505) SKIPPED 0 () Do you have any tips on how to properly debug this?
