Thanks for the report. It seems Mageia follows the same naming
convention as Fedora, so it should be actually named chrony-1.28-0.1.pre1.
It should be fixed with the other issues in git now.

Is the spec file included in the tarball useful? The created
package doesn't have a default config, there is no systemd unit file
or SysV init script included, no integration with networking scripts,
dhclient or NetworkManager.
